The Mount is sturdy I put a 50 Samsung TV on it. I gave it a 4 because I had to make adjustments to the top portion of the ceiling mount. To use as designed, you need a level ceiling with a sturdy beam that you can sink the lag bolts into, approximately 6 inches apart. When purchased, my intent was to mount this to a 4x12 beam running across my ceiling. To do this, I bent the top portion of the mount up and then extended the pieces by 8 inches. This allowed me to put the lag bolts higher up in the side of the 4x12 beam. With a large television, I would not mount this using top mount as designed, I wouldn't trust the lag bolts going straight up into the ceiling beam to handle the weight. I have the pole fully extended with all wiring running through the pole. The adjustments for the angle are very simple to use. The metal used is sturdy. I believe the way I have this mounted I could hang well over 200lbs from the mount. Overall, I'm happy with the product and what it has allowed me to do.
